New 2018 Toyota Sequoia is aut

Toyota is reshaping its one of the biggest and sturdy SUV in its segment, the 2018 Toyota Sequoia. Due to its dynamic and spacious look, this full-sized SUV is conquering the market since 2008. The new model has received styling updates as well as new safety features. It’s a perfect family car for off-road adventures due to its roominess and great towing capacity. The new biggest Toyota SUV will be available in 4 trims, Limited, Platinum, SR5, and the latest 2018 Toyota Sequoia TRD Sports. All four trims will be available in two wheels and four-wheel drive option, so everybody can easily get what they desire.

2018 Toyota Sequoia Exterior

The exterior of the next-gen Sequoia gets a new face with new additional features including a redesigned chrome grille with special inserts for each trim level. The SUV features LED Daytime Running Lights with auto/on feature along with integrated LED foglights. Limited trim features power-retractable side view mirrors. It also has built-in turn-signal auto dimming lamps. Whereas the Platinum trim has mirrors with puddle lamps along with functions like reverse connection tilting and position memory. The Sequoia TRD Sports trim gets black mirror caps, rear anti-sway bars, and performance Bilstein shock absorbers.

The SR5 trim will be running on big alloy wheels, with the size of 18-inches and 5-spoke, all in set with P275/65R18 tires. Limited and Platinum trims will house 20 inches machined–finish silver accent alloy wheels with P275/55R20 tires. The TRD Sports will have beautiful black alloy wheels with the size of 20-inch and P275/55R20 tires. In addition, three new colors Toasted Walnut Pearl, Shoreline Blue Pearl and Midnight Black Metallic will be added to the exterior paint palette, so now customers can choose their SUV in eight different exterior colors.

Toyota Sequoia 2018 Interior

The new Sequoia is roomier and quieter and thus provides extra comfort to its passenger during their trips. The rear doors are wider than its previous model, so the passenger can easily accommodate inside. The second-row seat can be split in 40/20/40 bench type manner. For a seven-seat cabin, captain seats for the second row are also available. The third row, unlike the other brands, can easily accommodate adults and can easily be reclined and also split in 60/40 manner. It can also be folded flat and folding of second and third rows seats allow 120.1 cubic feet of free space to carry the luggage with ease.

2018 Sequoia interior

The SR5 edition of the 2018 Sequoia includes adjustable steering wheel along with incorporated Bluetooth and audio hands-free cell controls. It also features a power slide moonroof and three-zone automatic climate control. Whereas the new addition TRD Sports trim adds up seats in the black leather finish and contrast upholstery. The seats, floor mats, shift knob and sill protectors all contain exclusive TRD badging. The Limited and SR5 trims offer leather-wrapped and heated seats (just front).

The steering wheel is also wrapped in leather and the driver seat is 10 way adjustable. The Platinum grades add more luxury and comfort to the car by offering leather trimmed ventilated and heated front seats, plus second-row seats have the heated facility. The driver seat can be adjusted in 12 different ways.

Technical features

The new 2018 Toyota Sequoia provides the handful of tech features, to make the journey enjoyable for its passengers. The SR5 and Limited trims customers will get a 6.1-inch touch-screen display along with a SiriusXM All Access Satellite Radio and AM/FM CD player which has a capability to playback MP3/WMA. It also has Entune Audio Plus with 8 speakers and Connected Navigation system, auxiliary audio jack and USB port with iPod connectivity. Customers can also utilize navigation facility while connecting it via their Smartphones.

Customers intended to buy Premium trim will get some high-class features including Entune Premium JBL Synthesis Audio along with an app suite and incorporated navigation system. It also has a SiriusXM All Access Satellite Radio and an integrated backup camera display. It also features a 6.1-inch touch-screen display which can be activated via voice command. The rear seat passengers can get a 9 inch LCD screen along with a Blu-ray rear seat entertainment system. This system is also optionally available in Limited trim.

Safety features

Toyota has equipped the new Sequoia with some efficient safety features including front side airbags installed with seats along with their knee bags. All three rows will get side curtain airbags with the roll-sensing feature. The direct monitoring system to check tire pressure will also be installed in all trims. Apart from that like all other latest Toyota models, the new 2018 Toyota Sequoia is also outfitted with exclusive Star Safety System.

The new 2018 Sequoia gets its power from a 5.7-liter dual-overhead cam i-FORCE V8 engine. This massive engine is able to generate an output of 381 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and a torque of 401 pounds-feet at 3,600 rpm. This beast is mated with the 6-speed automatic transmission which is electronically controlled. To make sure the engine can utilize the torque throughout the speed range Toyota has included ACIS (Acoustic Control Induction System) and WT-i (Dual independent Variable Valve Timing with intelligence) system.

With such output and torque distribution, the engine is able to tow up to 7,400 lbs of weight. Whether a driver needs an outstanding off-road wheel articulation or an on-road excellent bump assimilation, the Four-wheel independent suspension is an answer for both. The Platinum trim includes electronic damper control system and Adaptive Variable Suspension. Fuel capacity is 100 liters or 22 gallons. This monster is the big spender, fuel consumption is city 12.8 mpg/highway 17 mpg/combined mpg 14.3, or in L/100km city 18.4/highway 13.8/ combined 16.4.

Price and Release date

The base model Sequoia SR5 price will start from 48,300 dollars, whereas the Limited and Platinum trim will cost around $56,795 and $65,010 respectively. The newly added TRD Sports trim will cost around 51,051 dollars. The Toyota Sequoia 2018 release date is October 2017.
