The exterior design of the 2019 Corolla Hatchback is a thorough “mix of creases, surfaces, and emotive lines”, as they said in the Company. It is about 1.0 inches lower, 1.2 inches wider, and 1.5 inches longer than its older “brother”. This car adorns an extraordinary aptitude characterized by a unique, lively, solid, and sophisticated shooting theme. The rear and front tracks are slightly wider while the wheelbase is slightly longer. The hood is two inches lower than that of the iM model to give superb forward visibility to its passengers. The new frontal design includes a trapezoidal grille and orbicular nose to emphasize the increased width.

The Bi-Beam LED headlamps have been updated and are now slender and J-shaped. The lamps deeply envelop into the front fenders and articulate the front with clear-cut style and illumination. The front overhang will be reduced by 0.8 inches while its rear counterpart will be stretched to 0.8 inches more. You should expect the wheel diameter to range from 16 to 18 inches. A new rear styling expresses this car’s emphasis on muscular presence. A more rounded physique at the rear end now embraces a simple, concise, and vigorous three-dimensional landscape. There are the fully-LED covered rear taillamps that include a diffusing inner lens also.
There is now a clear distinction between the SE and XSE models. Both models have LED taillights and headlamps, alloy wheels, and chrome rear diffuser. The XSE trim gets the brand new LED fog lights, a grille with chrome all around (see the photo), 18-inches aluminum wheels, and the latest piece of technology, new AFS adaptive lights. The optimal output of light is enabled by the inclusion of the Bi-Beam LED units. These units move in all directions and send data of the vehicle speed, the angle of flounce in order to adjust the lamps.
The redesigned cabin of the new Corolla Hatchback 2019 offers more comfortable sports seats, a tidy instrument panel, and an 8-inch infotainment screen. The screen resides at the center of the panel and it provides easier access to the audio controls, car settings, and other controls. Some of the equipment and software in the cabin includes the panel which has climate controls, navigation with update option, Entune 3.0 apps, and smartphone connectivity.

It has a box that can comfortably accommodate bigger smartphones like the size of 5.5-inch, wallet and some other items. The minimized gaps between the switches and the buttons underscore the sophisticated character, tactility and aesthetic cleanliness of this car.
The highlights for the 2019 Corolla Hatch cabin are some nice things like newest and extremely comfortable front seats, easy reach for people of different hight for the pedals, or natural angle of hands for gearshift, they think about everything, nice job Toyota. Other expected features include automatic climate control, paddle shifters, leather shift knob, SmartKey system, and electronic parking brake.

The powertrain features for this car are based on the TNGA platform to make it fun to drive. A 2.0-liter gasoline engine replaces the 1.8-liter engine from the previous model. This is a direct-injection Dynamic-Force engine which is lighter, smaller and has lower noise vibration levels (NVH system). The horsepower and torque capabilities are expected to be slightly higher than 137 hp and 126 lb-ft respectively.
A new six-speed manual transmission system will be used for this car. There is also an expectation of a CVT transmission system. The engine also comes with the Variable Valve Timing intelligence by an Electric motor (VVT-iE) and Variable Valve Timing intelligence (VVT-i) features. The use of the valve timing system helps in cutting down harmful emissions and enhancing the fuel mileage and power output for this car.
Safety (Toyota Star System) :
– 7 airbags,
– Traction Control,
– Stability Control,
– Electronic Brake Distribution,
– Brake Assist,
– Backup camera,
– Blind Spot Monitor (not standard on every trim, just for XSE)
