2018 Toyota Yaris iA Review


The 2018 Toyota Yaris iA might just be the ultimate sedan with its front-drive; it’s positioned slightly below the Corolla sedan. Unlike its predecessor, the two-and four-door hatchback is essentially a rebadged Mazda2 sedan with cool front interior and some slight exterior revisions. It will be available in manual and automatic version.

2018 Toyota Yaris iA Redesign, Exterior

Toyota has taken the 2018 model a notch hires by reshaping its looks and introducing more features and standards. The front styling of the sedan is pretty different from the newly debuted Yaris hatchback. They have not altered the subcompacts lineup as it is the same like 2017 model with the four-door range. The hood and new bumper are now in the same color as the body and the nose is reshaped. Halogen headlights are also redesigned plus it has LED Day Time Running lights and the side mirrors also have LED turn signal indicators. Sleek pieces of chrome trims have been placed between the headlight and the Logo. The taillights have become wider too.

The new Yaris iA 2018 is now available in a range of colors with the Blue Eclipse being a new color or you can go for the Black Sand Pearl roof. The exhaust tip has also received some chrome finishing. Furthermore, The 2018 Toyota Yaris iA will be running on 16 inches (split-spoke) alloy wheel housed by 185/60R16 tires. Furthermore, there will be features like the rear window defogger, front windshield wipers, and the chrome surrounded black mesh grille. Dimension are: height = 58.2 inches, width = 66.7 inches, length = 171.7 inches and wheelbase = 101.2 inches. Curb weight is 2385 lbs. for manual, and 2416 lbs. for the automatic model. Colors: Graphite, Chromium, Frost, Stealth, Pulse, Sapphire, Abyss.

2018 Yaris iA Interior

The new Toyota Yaris iA 2018 interior design is more of the same with its predecessor as not much has been done, however, the electronics have received a facelift with more standard equipment. It now has a Remote Keyless Entry with Push Button Start feature, extra supportive sports bucket seats for driver and front passenger. The driver seat is 6 way adjustable whereas the front passenger seat can be adjusted in 4 different ways. The rear seat can be split and fold flat in 60/40 manner to make space for your belongings. Manual trim boosts of having a tilt steering wheel as well as audio controls. Good news for the buyers of automatic trims, that now they can also get the LCD information display and Sports analog instrument panel.

Engine

The new 2018 Toyota Yaris iA will be available in Front wheel drive. It is powered by a four-cylinder 1.5 liter DOHC engine with 16-valve variable valve timing. The engine is able to generate an output of 106 horsepower at around 6000 rpm and a torque of 103 pounds-feet at 4200 rpm. It is mated with the six-speed manual transmission provides a 30 mpg mileage in city and 39 mpg on the highway and 34 mpg combined, whereas the six-speed automatic transmission providing 32 mpg mileage in city and 40 mpg on the highway and 35 combined. No changes have been made to the chassis. It has an independent McPherson strut front suspension. Fuel tank capacity is 11.6 gallons.

Price and Release date

The new Toyota Yaris iA has already hit the dealership this summer and on sale in showrooms with a starting price of 15,950 dollars (manual), while automatic will be $17,050.
