2018 Toyota Tundra TRD Sport

This year Toyota has added special trim variants to its three existing lineups, Toyota Tundra, Sequoia, and RAV4. New 2018 Toyota Tundra TRD Sport is a new addition to the full-size pickup Tundra family introduced in the Chicago Auto Car Show 2017. Although Toyota Tundra is an off-road truck, however, the TRD Sport edition is designed especially for streets.

Toyota Tundra TRD Sport 2018 Interior

The new 2018 Tundra TRD Sport will be available in Double Cab and Crew Max body styling. The interior now has the more comfy look with finest upholstery and seat covers. In addition, you will find the exclusive TRD floor mats and shift knob inside the truck. The tachometer and speedometer are modified and in between them you will find a bigger TFT display with 4.2 inches screen. While central console will have Multi-information Display, unknown size for now.
Some of the features should be:

2018 Toyota Tundra TRD Sport Redesign

The exterior of the 2018 Tundra TRD Sport is fully uploaded with vibrant features that give a complete sporty look to the truck. Upfront is the smoke chrome encircling the LED headlamps, LED fog lamp, LED daytime running lights and upgraded bumpers. The bumpers, hood scoop, and mirrors are available in matching with the body color. The body colors: Midnight Black Pearl, Barcelona Red Metallic, Blazing Blue Pearl, Super White and Magnetic Gray. The mesh grille has also been modified and now show more aggressive look along with the TRD Sports logo at the back of the cargo bed. The new Toyota truck is equipped with 20 inches sporty aluminum wheels suitable for rugged surfaces. For rough and tough handling, under the base, Toyota has installed anti-roll bars and Bilstein shock absorbers providing smooth driving experience to the passengers.

Toyota has kept the Powertrain same in the TRD Sports edition just like the previous models with the standard six-speed automatic transmission. Under the hood is the roaring i-Force V-8, 5.7-liter engine that can generate 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque. The dynamic engine has a combined fuel consumption of 15 mpg, with 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. Like its predecessor, the new Toyota Tundra TRD Sports will also come with all wheel or rear wheel drive option. The all-wheel-drive option will be having an A-TRAC system, which helps to lessen the wheels spin and utilize the brakes to alternate the locking disparity.

Price and Release Date

The new Toyota Tundra TRD Sport 2018 will be available to dealers in fall 2017. The pricing has not been released, while keeping the 2017’s model in mind, one can expect a price range between thirty to fifty thousand dollars.
The Toyota truck fans can now be happy to get a new model with stronger built and upgraded safety features.
