2018 Toyota Corolla Specification

Toyota is bringing a new model of its most competent vehicle 2018 Toyota Corolla. Up till now, the company has sold around forty million Corolla’s models across the globe. The new variant is equipped with high-class essential types of equipment and some impressive tech and safety features. It will be available in six trims, L, LE, XLE, LE Eco, SE, and XSE.

2018 Toyota Corolla Redesign, Exterior

The new Toyota Corolla 2018 does not show any noticeable changes. It is mostly carrying over its predecessor’s features. The front features bi-LED headlights, which are standard on all trims. For providing optimal performance the car is designed aerodynamically and tested through the wind tunnel. It is available in 9 existing colors. L and LE Eco trim will be running on 15 inches steel wheels, whereas LE trim will get wide-vent 16 inches steel wheels. XLE trim will have 16 inches dark accented machined alloy wheels with P205/55R16 tires. The SE and XSE trims are distinguished by their sporty front-end design and rear spoiler. Both sporty trims have 17 inches black accented alloy wheels housed by P215/45R17 tires. The rear spoiler is also present in the LE Eco trim. The overall dimension of the car is 183 inches in length, 70 inches Wide and 57 inches in height. Curb weight is from 2850-2870 lb. depend on trims.

New Toyota Corolla 2018 Interior

The 2018 Corolla interior is not much appealing as it is mostly catering the same feature as 2017’s model. The newest is the vanity mirror which is now illuminated. The dashboard features some flowing line. Contrast stitching and premium material covering are available as an option and standard on higher trims. The XLE, XSE has comfortable and 8 way adjusted heated SofTex trimmed front seats, whereas the SE trim has sports trimmed SofTex seats ad driver seat is 6 way adjustable. The higher trim levels also have leather wrapped tilted steering wheel.

The L, LE and LE Eco have Entune Audio suite, which offers 6.1 inches touch display along with six speakers and 2.0 USB port, Bluetooth music streaming, auxiliary audio jack and iPod connectivity. The XLE, SE, and XSE trim feature Entune Audio Plus with Connected Navigation App, which includes 7 inches HD touchscreen, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, HD Radio and GPS Link App. The LE Eco trim has an Eco Mode button which enables the driver to keep the car in fuel-efficient mode.

Safety features

As usual Toyota Safety Sense-P Suite is available on this upcoming model of Toyota Corolla, catering the following safety features.

The new Corolla will be running on an inline-4 1.8-liter engine with the CVT transmission. CVTi-S Valvematic Technology provides a smooth and controlled driving experience. The engine can produce an out of 132 horsepower and a torque of 128 pounds-feet. The six-speed manual transmission will be available on the 2018 Toyota Corolla SE model. All the trims except LE Eco trim provide a combined fuel economy of 31 mpg with 28 mpg in city and 35 mpg on the highway. The LE Eco trim is the most efficient(with Valvematic technology) one among all trims in terms of fuel economy as it provides a combined 34 mpg, with 30 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. It will have 1.8-Liter 4-Cylinder DOHC engine with a bit more power, 140 hp @ 6100 rpm, and torque of 126 lb.-ft. @ 4000 rpm. Fuel tank capacity is 13.2 gallons.

Price and Release date

The pricing of the new Corolla varies for every trim. The base model starts from $18,550. Most popular trim is the cheapest one, the 2018 Toyota Corolla LE price begins from $18,985, whereas LE Eco costs around $19,385. The XLE, SE and XSE trim’s price starting from $21.985, 21,715 and $22,730 respectively. The new model will be available at the dealership by the last quarter of 2017.
