2016 Toyota Avalon is a mid-size sedan that was recently redesigned in 2015. Toyota has taken further effort to offer the new Avalon a sexier, sleeker, and more luxurious look. In conjunction with this redesign, the automaker made the body of the new vehicle slightly wider and shorter than the outgoing model, perking up its stance and offering passengers more hip and shoulder room.
2016 Toyota Avalon Changes, Exterior
The 2016 Avalon comes with some revisions in its front and back fascias. In the front, the new Avalon is equipped with a revamped grille, which lower and wider than the outgoing model. The upper grille of the new sedan is somewhat narrow and it has revamped turn signals. Basically, the 2016 model almost resembles the grille of the 2015 model, flicked it upside down and extended it, whereas its upper grille has a squash look. The rear bumper has a chromed accent and it has redesigned rear LED taillights and with narrow upper grille design and wider lower front grille.
Besides the restructured fascia, the new Toyota Avalon 2016 Touring model features a set of 18-inch alloy wheels painted in dark-grey color, whereas LED daylight running light and LED headlights increase the charm of its exterior look. The XLE Plus and XLE models of the new Avalon come with 17-inch alloy wheels as standard, with an incorporated tire pressure monitoring system.
2016 Toyota Avalon Interior
The mid-size sedan comes with an attractive interior styling such that all of its models received innovative light grey color interior with grey accent sewing. The XLE Plus and XLE models of the new Avalon come with a seven-inch Entune Audio Plus monitor and quality wood grain accents as standard. Except these changes, the new sedan comes with the same interior features as that of the outgoing model.
Engine, Toyota Avalon 2016 0-60
Though Toyota has not revealed the engine of the new 2016 Toyota Avalon, it is expected that it will be equipped with the same engine of the outgoing model. Under the hood, the new Avalon will be equipped with a V6, 3.5-liter engine that offers the vehicle an adequate power of 268 HP @ 6,200 RPM and a torque of 248 lbs per foot @ 4,700 RPM. The engine is mated to a six-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission with to offer the mileage of 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. New Toyota Avalon 2016 accelerate from 0-60 mph for 6.2 sec. with top speed of 130 mph.
Release date and price
It is expected that all the models of the 2016 Toyota Avalon release date will be during the last quarter of 2015 with the starting price which will be slightly more than the price of the outgoing model that is available at $32,285.
